He is Undersecretary of Department of Tourism (DOT) for Tourism Regulation, Coordination and Resource Generation.

He is DOT’s convergence champion for Tourism Road Infrastructure Program with DPWH and DOT-DoTr Convergence Program on Airport Development. He is DOT’s alternate representative to the Boracay Inter-agency Task Force, Manila Bay Rehabilitation and other rehabilitation projects relative to environmental sustainability.

Moreover, he is Alternate Chairperson for Duty Free Philippines Corporation and Alternate Vice Chairperson for the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) and Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority and DOT’s official representative to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and the National Quintcentennial Committee.

He started his government service as DOT Regional Director for Davao from 2010-2013. He was appointed Assistant Secretary from 2013 thru June 2016 for Tourism Regulation, Coordination and Resource Generation.

Before his return to the Department of Tourism he was Assistant Secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry for Competitiveness and Ease of Doing Business Group, and detailed to the Department of Finance to assist in the 51st ADB Annual Meeting until May 2018.

He has a Journalism degree from the University of the Philippines and several executive courses on Negotiation Skills, Responsible Tourism, Social Media and Digital Marketing.
